    County facing a lawsuit over handling of planned Keaton Beach food truck

    Old Mexico restaurant owner Luis Bautista Pulido purchased a Keaton Beach Road property near Hodges Park and installed a pole barn (above) to be the future home of “Poncho’s Cantina” — which was to include a food truck and separate alcoholic beverage service trailer. The project has been stopped by the county over a variety of issues — including a setback variance — that his attorney, Ray Curtis, says were improperly handled, violating his client’s rights.

    The Taylor County Commission is facing a potential lawsuit over how county staff and the Taylor County Planning Board allegedly handled a proposed setback variance application from Old Mexico owner Luis Bautista Pulido for his Keaton Beach property and potential future home of Poncho’s Cantina — a full-service food truck.
