Planning board approves new limestone mine

By a 4-0 vote last Thursday, the Taylor County Planning and Zoning Board approved a development application submitted by SRM Materials, which is moving ahead with plans to open a new 2,000-acre limestone mining and processing plant approximately 12 miles west of Perry on U.S. Hwy. 98.
