It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis “Denny” W. Wiles, beloved husband, father, devoted friend and cherished member of the Perry community.
Dennis, 70, passed away peacefully from a hard fought battle with cancer on June 16, 2026, in his lifelong home of Perry.
He was born on March 3, 1956, in Perry, where he spent his entire life, cultivating a deep love for the natural beauty surrounding him.
Dennis was a proud machinist, dedicating 41 years of his life to Procter & Gamble and Buckeye, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
He loved hunting and fishing, but bass fishing was his passion.
Whether he was hunting in the woods or fishing in local waters, Dennis found joy and solace in nature, sharing these adventures with friends and family alike.
He possessed an innate ability to connect with the environment around him, which left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was a member of New Home Baptist Church, 3 Rivers Hunting Club, Taylor County bass club and Madison County bass club.
Above all, Dennis will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his wife of 50 years, Kathy Wiles.
Together, they shared countless moments filled with laughter, love and a deep appreciation for life.
His warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those he touched throughout his life.
Dennis is survived by: his beloved wife, Kathy; his son, Michael Wiles; and his siblings, Earl Wiles (Linda), Robert Wiles (Linda), Billy Wiles (Janet), Mikey Wiles of Jacksonville, Windell Wiles, Sharon Wiles, Merelyin Wiles, Dawson Wiles (Donna), Wallace Wiles and Sue Ann Roberson (Jeff); as well as a host of very special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Malcum and Vonceal Wiles; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Leona Holt; and his paternal grandparents, Clydie and Geneva Wiles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home with Brother Bill Jenkins and Brother Jeremy Gray officiating.
Interment will follow to Carlton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In this time of grief, we invite all who knew Dennis to reminisce about the moments shared and the memories created, honoring a life well lived. May he rest in eternal peace.
The family will be at the home of Robert and Linda Wiles, 2800 San Pedro Road. Arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry
