Just a month after the Perry City Council voted to end a trial program with Flock Safety for automated license plate readers (ALPR) within the city limits, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) issued a memorandum on Monday, Aug. 31, advising local law enforcement agencies that it was revoking all existing permits allowing those agencies to place ALPR on the state highway system.
