How do children view change? What about sudden change caused by disasters, like hurricanes?

Written and illustrated by members of the Boys and Girls Club’s Stingray Unit in Steinhatchee, “Remembering Hurricane Helene” collects children’s first-hand accounts of evacuating, riding out the storm and rebuilding. The book is now available on Amazon, and a book release event is set for Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at Steinhatchee School.

Usually, it takes years to see and feel change. Tomorrow looks and feels pretty much like yesterday and the day before that, especially in coastal communities like Steinhatchee.
