    City council adopts new park rules banning sleeping, bathing at sites

    Perry Police officers and city officials now have additional “tools” to deal with those creating unsafe, unsanitary and disruptive conduct at city-owned parks (including Rosehead Park above) after the city council adopted an ordinance with new park rules last week.

    The Perry City Council has adopted a new park ordinance intended to give city staff and law enforcement clearer authority to address unsafe, unsanitary and disruptive conduct in city parks — including Rosehead Park, Farmer’s Market pavilion and splash pad in downtown Perry.
