    Jane Deal Litchfield

    Jane Deal Litchfield, 93, peacefully passed away at her home in Perry on Oct. 2, 2026, surrounded by love ones.

    She was born in Perry on Aug. 14, 1933, to the late Matthew and Odie Godwin Mann. She was a medical office manager, and spent her life in the community she loved. She was known for her kindness, strength, faith and devotion to family.

    She was an avid gardener and found comfort spending time at the beach.

    Throughout her life she cherished the relationships she built and the memories she created with those around her. She began her walk of faith at the Perry First Church of God and then later continued that journey as an Adventist.

    Jane was preceded in death by: her first husband, Henry Deal; her second husband, Dr. Leland Litchfield; her brothers, Lewis Mann, Vernon Mann and James Mann; and sisters, Lois Walker and Ruth Clark.

    She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory.

    Survivors include: her son, Ricky Deal (Glenda); daughters, Rhonda Peters and Robin Starling (Charlie); grandchildren, Jamie Deal, Chad Deal, Lindsay Peters and Amy Shiver (Loomis); and great-grandchildren, Brantley Deal, Chaddy Deal, Ramzie Peters, Albree Shiver and Addison Shiver; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

    Jane will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, unwavering faith and the special way she made each member of her family feel loved. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and inspire.

    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. at the Perry First Church of God with Charles Starling Sr. and Becky Horse Officiating. Interment will follow to Woodlawn Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

    Arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry
