Get ready for double the treats and double the fun with a bonus Halloween event.
More than 40 “trunks” will be set up in downtown Perry this Friday, Oct. 30, for the Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Trunk or Treat” from 6-8 p.m.
Organizers have announced they are changing up how the annual Trunk or Treat Costume Contest will run.
“No registration. No sign-up. No standing in line for judging! This year, our costume contest judges will be roaming throughout the event, keeping their eyes open for some of the most creative, spooky, funny, adorable and downright awesome costumes they see. That means everyone in costume is automatically in the running,” Chamber Director Dawn Perez said. “Our mystery judges will be mixing and mingling throughout the evening and secretly selecting their favorites. So whether you’re a tiny pumpkin, a scary monster, a superhero, an ’80s throwback or something completely original…you just might catch a judge’s eye.”
Perez said they are also “simplifying this year’s festivities and will not be holding the Pumpkin Carving Contest.”
