Deadline for short stories is today (May 16)

Today (Friday) is the deadline for the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library’s eighth annual Short Story Contest.

The contest includes three age categories: youth (grades 5 and below), student (grades 6-12) and adult.

The first place story in each category will win $100 and second place will receive $50. Honorable mentions will receive $10.

The contest is open to all Taylor County Public Library cardholders. Stories must be unpublished and under 2,500 words. Content should be kept to a “family friendly” level.
