Man charged with animal cruelty after dragging dog behind truck for miles

A 68-year-old Perry man faces a felony charge for animal cruelty after tying two dogs to the back bumper of his truck and taking them “for a run.”’

According to reports, at some point, one of the dogs, a chocolate Lab mix, evidently fell and was then dragged behind the vehicle for an unknown distance. The dog sustained deep, multiple “road rash” burns all over his entire body, including his face, and all four paw pads were severely abraded.
