Ready for Election Day

On Friday, Aug. 1, Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland and staff held the public logic and accuracy test on each piece of voting equipment implementing all the ballot styles that will be used countywide during the Primary Election Aug. 26. “This test ensures that ballots are being tabulated as expected and we are pleased to announce that all voting equipment that is set to be deployed for use on election day tested 100 percent accurate,” Southerland said. She also reminds voters that early voting is underway at her office, located on the second floor of the Taylor County Courthouse. Some 51 early votes had been cast as of presstime Tuesday.
