Williams responds to candidate questions

Two weeks after a political forum was hosted by the development authority and chamber of commerce, City Dist. 4 candidate Mary Williams has submitted her response to questions posed during the debate, claiming she was never contacted by Perry Newspapers, Inc.

However, newspaper staff placed five calls to the phone number listed with City Hall in Williams’ candidacy packet and left voice messages with each call. (The phone number is for Williams’ hair salon and was also the number she left Tuesday when calling to see if the newspaper had received her responses via e-mail.)
