Despite a rough second half, the Taylor County Bulldogs hung on and survived a near-upset at the hands of Potter’s House Christian Friday night at Dorsett Stadium, beating the Lions 28-24.

Taylor (2-1) led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter and 20-14 at the half before Art Nelson’s 34-yard TD run just over 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter and Chris Reaves’ 2-point pass to Rayshawn Hamilton seemed to give the Bulldogs control of the game with a 28-14 lead.
