United Way kicks off with breakfast Tuesday, Sept. 30

The Taylor County United Way campaign team will officially kick-off the 2014-15 year with a breakfast on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Taylor County Senior Center on Ash Street from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

The breakfast will cost $5 and includes sausage, eggs, grits, biscuits, coffee and juice. Proceeds from the event will be donated to one of United Way’s participating agencies through a drawing held following breakfast.

According to Campaign Associate Glenda Hamby, there will not be a campaign chairperson this year, and instead, the campaign team will head up this year’s efforts collectively.

The team will announce the campaign’s new fund-raising goal at the breakfast.
