    Steinhatchee students help Rotarians launch Purple Pinkie campaign

    Students at Steinhatchee School joined a decades-long global effort Wednesday to eliminate a deadly disease from the face of the Earth.

    With the help of the Perry Rotary Club, students each brought $1 to have one of their pinkies dyed purple as part of a fund-raising effort called the Purple Pinkie Project, to assist with the eradication of polio.

    PHOTO: More than a hundred students, teachers and faculty at Steinhatchee School had their pinkies dyed purple by Perry Rotarians Wednesday to help raise funds for the eradication of polio. Teacher Lacey Corbin (above) donated extra money in order to have all 10 fingers dyed.
