County may join coalition to pool regional resources

As the Taylor County Commission continues to look at the problem of homelessness in the county, the board is considering joining the Big Bend Homeless Coalition, through which they hope to gain access to regional resources as well as provide guidance and expertise for local organizations working to tackle the issue.

County Commissioner Pat Patterson and County Administrator Dustin Hinkel recently met with representatives from the coalition, reporting back to the commission last week at the board’s monthly workshop.
