The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will discuss several marine fisheries management items –including red snapper– as well as draft rules for a limited bear hunting season at its April 15-16 meeting in Tallahassee.
The discussions will include updates on the federal fishery management as well as final rules on setting the Gulf recreational red snapper season, changes to the Restricted Species Endorsement qualification requirements, making the spiny lobster commercial dive endorsement transferable and increasing the commercial and recreational size limit for gray triggerfish in Atlantic state waters from 12 to 14 inches fork length.
