‘Baking for Babies’ cake auction is April 15

Have your cake and eat it too at the third annual “Baking for Babies Cake Auction” benefitting the March of Dimes.

The auction will be held Wednesday, April 15, on Facebook and is open to the public.

“Search for the ‘Baking for Babies’ page, click ‘join’ and you are there. Watch all the action happen from 8 a.m. when the cakes will post and bidding begins. The auction will close at 6 p.m. The highest bidders win the cakes and all proceeds will go to March for Healthy Babies (March of Dimes). I personally deliver all money–no third party involved as with some other charities,” organizer Gena English said.

“My goal for this year is $3,075. So far, we are halfway there. The cake auction is typically a hit and I’m looking forward to the outcome again this year. Taylor County has been nothing but a supportive, loving community and I’m grateful to be apart of it.”
