How should county spend $140,000 donation?

The Taylor County Commission agreed this week to revitalize its Steinhatchee Waterfronts Committee to help determine ways to utilize a $140,000 donation received in December for projects in the coastal community.

Since December, the commission has not used any of the funds for specific projects but has earmarked $30,000 to be used as a match for a state grant the county is pursuing to construct restrooms at the Steinhatchee public boat ramp.
