Man imprisons, assaults woman

A Steinhatchee man is being held without bond at the Taylor County Jail facing three counts of sexual battery as well as burglary/ battery, trespassing and false imprisonment after holding a former girlfriend hostage for three days in her home.

The man, whose identity is not being released in order to protect the victim, was arrested at the woman’s home around midnight Monday (April 13) when law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene.
