Taylor County students will likely be returning to class two weeks earlier than originally planned for the 2015-16 school year, after Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed an education accountability bill this week which also reduces the amount of state-mandated testing students will face each year.
House Bill 7069 passed the Florida House 105-6 and the Senate 32-4, sending the far-reaching bill to the governor for his signature.
