At the turn of the 20th century, Perry had a population of 100 and four businesses. By the town’s founding in 1903, population had increased by 500 percent. By 1905, the business landscape had boomed 1,000 percent.
This Saturday, April 25, city and county residents will have the opportunity to “honor our past and celebrate our future” during the inaugural “Founders’ Day” being coordinated by Main Street Perry.
