City to vote on Hwy. 19 appearance ordinance April 28

Moving forward with its efforts to improve the look of the Hwy. 19 business corridor, the Perry City Council is expected to vote Tuesday on a new set of standards for properties that border the highway.

Similar to the appearance ordinance adopted for the downtown district, the proposed policy targets exterior property areas (vacant lots, etc.) as well as door and window openings on vacant buildings.
