Although the county was under a tornado watch for much of Saturday, April 25, volunteers and local business people were out in force for the inaugural Founders’ Day celebration in downtown Perry.
The event spanned nine blocks from the Grand Pavilion to City Park, with activities including walking historical tours, a Civil War encampment, live bands, shopping, food vendors and children’s games.
