Taylor County collected around $10,000 in overdue traffic fines as part of Operation Green Light, during which ticket-holders had the opportunity to save 40 percent on collection fees and have their driver’s licenses reinstated.
According to Taylor County Clerk of Court Annie Mae Murphy, her office collected $9,959.61 on Friday, April 17. While late fees will not be waived, anyone paying overdue tickets during Operation Green Light did not have to pay collections surcharges.
