Storms off the Taylor County coast produced at least six water spouts Monday morning, prompting local emergency management officials to set off coastal sirens to warn boaters and residents of the approaching weather.
“We received notice from beach residents that they had just seen three water spouts, with one making landfall toward Spring Warrior,” Taylor County Emergency Management Director Steve Spradley said.
