Taylor County Parks & Recreation hosted the 2015 Babe Ruth District 4 Softball Tournament this past weekend (June 11 to June 13) at the Taylor County Sports Complex with assistance from the Taylor County Fast Pitch Parents Association.

More than 160 girls ages 6-12 from surrounding counties competed for a chance to advance to the Babe Ruth State tournament to be held in Newberry on June 27.  Six softball leagues make up the new District 4, including Taylor County and the four surrounding counties of Hamilton, Madison, Lafayette and Suwannee.  Suwannee has two leagues represented, Live Oak and Branford.
