Frankye Mae (Hyrd) Sermons, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018.\nFrankye was the beloved daughter of the late Maedell Jackson, born March 23,\n1931, in Perry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She married Willie James Sermons, Sr. on March 13, 1948. To\nthat union, two daughters and three sons were born. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frankye was a loyal member of New Brooklyn M.B. Church. In\naddition to her administrative skills, she was a licensed beautician. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frankye will remain forever in the hearts of: her five\nchildren, Dr. Brenda Magee, Willie James Sermons (Yvonne), Charles Stanley\nSermons (Gracine), Wayne Sermons and Dr. Wanza Sermons-Lee (Willie); two\nsisters, Sarah S. Hall and Mary E. Jones; one brother, the Rev. George E.\nClayton (Sandra); ten grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,\nnephews, cousins and friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visitation was held Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 5-6 p.m. at New\nBrooklyn M.B. Church. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m.\nat New Brooklyn M.B. Church. Internment was held immediately afterward at\nSpringhill Cemetery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
