Rabrun Green Palmer, 75, of Perry, passed away on Jan.\n14, 2019, at his home following an extended illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rabrun was born Nov. 7, 1943, in Cabbage Grove to James\nKent Palmer and Minnie Lee Jackson Palmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He attended Taylor County High School where he was a\nmember of the track team. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of The\nChurch of God in Perry. Rabrun worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for more\nthan 50 years with the Florida Division of Forestry and enjoyed playing guitar,\nfishing, hunting and spending time with his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie\nLee Palmer; and a son, David Brian Palmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Syble Ann Blair\nPalmer; one son, Rabrun Michael Palmer, and wife, Shonda, of Tallahassee; three\ndaughters, Rita Palmer Phillips, and husband, Mack, of Covington, Ga., Jessica\nNikki Palmer, and spouse, Julie Strawn Palmer, of Perry, Danielle Brown, and\nhusband Stephen, of Perry; two brothers, Bruce Palmer, of Jesup, Ga., and\nWilliam Palmer, of Perry; one sister, Bessie Bryant of St. Mary, Kan.; eight\ngrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces,\nnephews, other relatives and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan.\n17, at The Church of God with the Rev. Halton Jeffcoat officiating. Interment\nfollowed in Pineview Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8\np.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, also at The Church of God in Perry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
