William McCoy Green Jr. 75, passed away on January 3, 2019,\nin Perry, Florida. William was born March 14, 1943, in Pensacola, Florida, to\nWilliam McCoy Green Sr. and Clifford Floreca (Reca) Carlton Green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
William was known as Bill by his family, many friends and\nassociates. Bill honorably served our\ncountry in the United States Navy where he served two tours during the Vietnam War.\nBill was of the Christian Faith. Bill attended Florida State University and\nstudied Business Administration. He worked with the Florida Department of\nTransportation as a maintenance engineer for more than 30 years. Golf was his passion. Bill was a member of the\nPerry Golf and Country Club for many decades and was affectionately nicknamed \u201cNeighbor\u201d\nby his friends. Bill faithfully served on the Perry Golf and Country Club Board\nof Directors for many years \u2013 including several years as the President. He\nenjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his friends when not golfing. Bill\nwas also an avid reader; he could always be found with a good mystery book in\nhis hands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bill was preceded in death by his parents William McCoy\nGreen Sr. and Clifford Floreca (Reca) Carlton Green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years Kay Green, his two\ndaughters Missy (Scott) Newman, and Chrissy (Garrett) Brock. He is also survived\nby his two sisters Genie Culberson and Denise Green-Huneke, as well as a host\nof nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved four grandchildren:\nAlexis, Matthew, Christian, and Noah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 2,\n2019, at 11:00 AM, located at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel at 201 West Main Street\nin Perry.
