Carl Drew Leggett, 76, of Perry, Fla., passed away on\nFebruary 9, 2019, at his home in Perry. Carl was born March 17, 1942, in Perry\nto Clarence Drew Leggett and Sylvia Cox Leggett. He attended Taylor County High\nSchool before going to work in logging. Carl honorably served our country in\nthe United States Air Force. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic with M.A.\nRigoni Logging for more than 30 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith and in\nhis spare time enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, fishing, and\nreading his Bible. Carl said his grandchildren were the joy of his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carl was preceded in death by; his Father, Clarence Drew\nLeggett; his wife, Geraldine Bratcher Leggett; a son, Walter Joseph Baker\nPadgett; a daughter, Rebecca Padgett Mills; two brothers, Larry and Tommy\nLeggett; and a sister, Virginia Dale Leggett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by; his mother, Sylvia Cox Leggett, of\nPerry; two sons, Shane Padgett and Danny Padgett; three brothers, Billy\nLeggett, Ronald Leggett, DeWayne Leggett, and wife Brenda, all of Taylor\nCounty; two sisters, Patricia Graddy, of Perry, and Lisa Adams, of Utah; seven\ngrandchildren, Danny, Christopher, Joseph, Shana, Shane, Carl, Kelsey, and\nLayne; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews,\nother relatives and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday,\nFebruary 13, 2019, at First Assembly of God of Perry with Bro. John Rodriguez,\nBro. David Stephens and Bro. Gary Brett officiating. Interment will follow in\nWoodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.\non Tuesday, February 12, 2019, also at First Assembly of God of Perry. All\narrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
