John\nCary Vereen was born at Vereen Memorial Hospital in Moultrie, Ga., on November 21,\n1962, and passed away on February 10, 2019. Cary was preceded in death by his\nparents, Lauradine Baker Vereen and Eugene Michael Vereen, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 28 years,\nAzalee Wight Vereen, children John (Rebekah),Virginia, Patrick, granddaughter\nSarah Anne, sisters Joan Vereen Wilson\n(Rich), Ellen Vereen Rumble (Theo), brother Michael Vereen (Jenni), and numerous\nnephews, nieces and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cary\nattended Colquitt County Schools and graduated from P. K. Yonge High<\/p>\n\n\n\n
School in\nGainesville, FL, in 1982. He attended Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta,\nGa., and the International Fabricare Institute in Rockville, Md. Cary operated\nModern Cleaners in Camilla, Ga., since 1990. He was a member of the First\nUnited Methodist Church in Camilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cary\nhad a kind heart and a gentle soul. He was truly one-of-a-kind. No matter how\nhard you looked, you could never find anyone quite like him. His lifelong love\nof animals was a testament to his generous and loving spirit. He spent many\nhours at Stitches Animal Shelter. He\nwill be missed by his beloved animals: dogs, Sally, Charlotte, Roscoe, Daisy and\nRuss, and cats, Curtis, Smokey, Maisy, Scat, Tabitha and Lotto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visitation\nwill be Tuesday evening, February 12, at the family home in Camilla, beginning\nat 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, at 10:00 a.m.,\nCamilla United Methodist Church, with interment at Akridge Cemetery immediately\nfollowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
