Cleo Ivey, 90, died April 16, 2019, at Kindred Hospital North Florida, Green Cove Springs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services will be held\nSaturday, April 20, at 11 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home in Perry, with burial at\nWoodlawn Cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cleo was born in Coolidge, Ga., on\nMay 14, 1928 to his parents Titum and Grace Ivey. He was baptized at an early\nage at Silver Hill Missionary Church in Coolidge, Ga. He was a police officer\nin Baltimore, Md. and was also a painter. He loved God, his family, friends, and was\naffectionately called \u201cUncle Big Jim\u201d by his nieces and nephews.<\/strong> He moved to Perry in 2008 to live\nwith his devoted sister, Evelyna Jenkins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He is survived by: one daughter, Lisa\nIvey of Baltimore, Md.; his sister, Evelyna Jenkins of Perry; his\nsister-in-law, Arplee Ivey of Coolidge, Ga.; 14 nieces and nephews and a host\nof great nieces and nephews; as well as his close friend, M. L. \u201cLowe\u201d Redding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He was predeceased by: his parents;\nthree brothers, Johnny Ivey, Jim l.
