Lenora W. McMillan, of Perry\npassed away April 26, 2019 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle\nwith Alzheimer\u2019s disease. She was born February 10, 1938, in Perry, the\ndaughter of the late James Phillip and Lois Ione (Gunter) Whiddon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nLenora graduated from Taylor County High School, Class of 1958. She moved to\nSavannah, Ga., in 1960 where she raised her two beautiful daughters. She worked\nat K-Mart Corporation in Savannah, Ga. and Perry. Later in life, she returned\nhome to care for her parents and eventually retired from K-Mart after 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nLenora was a spiritual woman and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She\ntruly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; music, square\ndancing, going to concerts with friends, and taking care of her flowers.
\nIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tyrone\nEugene Whiddon of Perry and her daughter Susan Ann Beasley of Ellabell, GA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is survived by her daughter,\nLynne Tischler and husband, Mike of Austin, Texas, son in-law, Mark Beasley of\nSpringfield, Ga.; seven grandchildren Christy deClairmont, Brandon Bowen, Mark\nAshley Beasley, Matthew Christopher Beasley; Andrew, Jody and Justin Tischler;\nand one great-Granddaughter Ashley Gracelyn Beasley. She is also survived by\nher sister, Andrea Dorman and husband, John of Perry and four nephews, Anthony,\nJohn, Lincoln and James Eric Dorman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\nThe family will receive friends April 28, 2019, from 1-2 pm at Joe P. Burns\nFuneral Home. Graveside service will be held at Carlton Cemetery immediately\nfollowing at 2:30 pm with Pastor Jeff Stading officiating. Interment\nwill follow.
