Mary was born August 4, 1923, in\nKnoxville, Tenn. to Richard Gross and Edith Eva Corthay Gross.<br>\n<br>\nMary was of the Protestant faith and attended the Advent Christian Church in\nDowling Park. Mary drove food trucks as a civilian for the US Army during WWII;\nshe later was promoted to drive officer where she chauffeured officers to and\nfro. Her last job was making sport bags for Paul Pryor Sporting Bags, a former\nMajor League Umpire. Mary moved to Perry in 2005 to live next door to her\ndaughter and then moved to Dacier Manor in Dowling Park in 2010.<br>\n<br>\nMary was preceded in death by: her husband, William F. Weeks; her parents,\nRichard and Edith Eva Gross; and her brothers, Richard Gross and George Gross.<br>\n<br>\nMary is survived by: her daughters, Frances Johnson and Lynn Shepard; her\nbrother, David Gross; two granddaughters, Amy Holland-Creed and Misty Shepard;\nas well as a host of nieces and nephews.<br>\n<br>\nA celebration service of Mary\u2019s life will be held Thursday, June 20, at 10 a.m.\nat the Good Samaritan Center with Pastor Jack Jones officiating.
