Willie Merle Russ, 66, passed away June 6, 2019 in\nPerry. Willie was born October 25, 1952 in Wewahitchka to William Russ and\nElease Tucker Stadler.

\nWillie was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He\nworked as an aluminum welder with United Welding and Aluminum Fab before going\non disability for Ankylosing Spondylitis. Willie worked at home on small\nengines and boat motors when he was able. He will be affectionately remembered\nas the \u201cPiddler\u201d by his family and friends.

\nWillie was preceded in death by: his parents, William Russ and Elease Stadler; his\nstepfather, John Stadler; his sister, Ann Pitts; and his grandson, James Schiffhauer.
\n
\nWillie is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Rebecca Russ; his children,\nLatricia (Neal) Sadler, Sheri Schiffhauer and Heath (Joni) Russ; six\ngrandchildren, Macy Sadler, Marlee Sadler, Carrie Beth Sadler, Michael\nSchiffhauer, Gregory Bauer and Alissa Russ; his brother, Jimmy Stadler and\nstepbrother, Mallie Xanthull; his sisters, Maxine (Ken) Williams, Lisa (Ray)\nLivingood and stepsister, Helen Russ; as well as a host of nieces and nephews,\nand a special Aunt Bessie and Uncle Jay Tucker.

\nA graveside service was held Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at San Pedro Baptist\nChurch with Bro. Billy Gipson and Bro. Tim McDonald officiating. The family\nreceived friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Burns Funeral Home of\nPerry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
