David Hershell Benton \u201cHershey,\u201d 65, passed away Saturday\nnight, June 22, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hershey was born May 3, 1954 in Perry to Shorty and Edna\nBrannon Benton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hershey was a master logger, and loved being out in nature hunting,\nfishing and scavenging for old bottles and artifacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hershy was preceded in death by: his father, Shorty Benton;\nhis mother, Edna Benton; and his brother, Barney Benton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by: his wife of 17 years, Deborah Susan\nPoppell; his two sons, David Benton and Christopher Benton; his stepdaughters,\nEugenia Parker and Samantha Parker; his stepson, Scott Jowers; four sisters,\nWhella Cannon, Winett Wilson, Rudy Benton, and Viddia Wallace; one brother,\nSherril Benton; several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two\nbest friends who were like brothers, Glenn Freeman and Benji Tuten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be a memorial service at the Indian Springs\nCemetery on Fox Hunters Grade Saturday, July 6, at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
