Margie Wade Thompson,\n91, passed away on July 15, 2019, in Madison. Margie was born August 15, 1927,\nin Paris, Tenn., to J.O. Wade and Novie Nance Wade.

\nMrs. Thompson was of the Christian faith and was a member of Spring Warrior\nChurch of Christ. Mrs. Margie and her husband Wilton moved to Perry in 1954\nfrom Paris, Tenn. Margie worked as a clerk with the Taylor County Tax Collector\noffice for several years before returning to Paris, Tenn., in 1973. They\nretired and returned to Perry in 1989, to be close to their family, which was\nher number one priority. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and reading.

\nMargie was preceded in death by her parents J.O. and Novie Nance Wade, her\nbrother C.A. Wade, and sisters Ruth Cox, Faye Gibson, and Virginia Gallimore.
\n
\nMrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 75 years, Mr. Wilton Thompson, her\ndaughters, Anne (Rob) Gray, and Barbara (Oscar) Howard; her grandchildren,\nMelissa (Randy) Cooper, Trey (Jessica) Howard, and David (Courtney) Gray, great\ngrandchildren, Mattie and Millie Howard, and Caroline, Carson, Kennedy and\nKannon Gray; her sister Bobbie Glisson; as well as a host of nieces and\nnephews.

\nFuneral Services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Burns\nFuneral Home of Perry with Mr. Mike Feeser and Minister Dan Chaney officiating.\nInterment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pineview Memorial\nCemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on\nThursday, July 18, 2019, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are\nunder the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
