Eleanor Jane Stephens, 80, passed away July 24, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home\nin Perry. Jane was born November 7, 1938 in DeFuniak\nSprings to Charles Henry Scott and Unevay Padgett Scott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jane served as a school bus\ndriver for 30 years. She loved spending time with her children,\ngrandchildren and great-grandchildren, cooking, fishing and sewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jane was preceded in death by: her husband\nof over 40 years, Rufus Cary Stephens; her parents, Charles and Unevay Scott; three\nsisters; and two brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is survived by: three children, Susan\n(Frank) Hamby, Shirley (Jimmy) Sauls and Shannon (Betsy) Stephens;\ngrandchildren, Chris Carlton, Stephanie (Todd) Holmes, Cassidy (Adam) Pridgeon\nand Mitchell (Ivy) Stephens; great-grandchildren, Sydney Carlton, T.J. Carlton,\nCameron Holmes, Graham Holmes, Jessa Pridgeon and Andi Claire Pridgeon; as well\nas a host of nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 28, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro.\nEddie Pridgeon and Adam Pridgeon officiating. Interment services will\nfollow immediately afterwards in Carlton\nCemetery. The family received friends from 2-3\np.m. on Sunday, July 28, at Burns\nFuneral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
