He worked for the City of Tallahassee as a power plant\nmaintenance mechanic and was a highly skilled welder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clay was an avid outdoorsman that\nloved sharing his passion of hunting and fishing with his family and friends.\nHe was raised to respect and honor the heritage of outdoors and passed that on\nto his son Tyler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Clay was always willing to teach others,\nespecially kids, the way of life he excelled at. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clay enjoyed making memories and\nrelaxing with family and friends at his hunting camp and spent a lot of time\nthere. As much as Clay loved hunting and fishing, he loved his family more.\nJami and Tyler were his heart and soul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He will be missed more than words\ncan express, but he will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is preceded in death by his\nmother, Margie Hartsfield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his wife Jami of\n27 years, and his son Tyler (Tiffany Kalnin) Evans, both of Lamont; brother\nHank (Amy) Evans of Perry; sister Amy (Michael) Hay of Wewahitchka; his Father\nBruce (Melody) Evans of Nutall Rise; and his two nieces, Kelli Evans of Perry\nand Sara Brewer of Port St. Joe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitation for Clay was held Monday,\nFebruary 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral services were held on\nTuesday, February 11 at 11 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, followed by\nburial at Walker\u2019s Cemetery in Lamont. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lemuel Clayton \u201cClay\u201d Evans, 53, passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2020.
