Suezette Garner Stephens, 63, of Perry, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at home.<\/p>\n
She was born July 13, 1950, in Lexington, Tenn., to Merle and Genevieve \u201cPete\u201d Garner.<\/p>\n
A Christian and member of the First United Methodist Church of Perry, she was a nursery volunteer and was very involved with her church, especially as a fund raiser for the Methodist Children\u2019s Youth Ranch.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Stephens was a teacher\u2019s aide and librarian at Steinhatchee School.<\/p>\n
She is survived by: her husband of 15 years, Don Stephens of Perry; daughter, Joy Peace of Atlanta, Ga., and her son Noah; three brothers, Pete Garner and his wife Brenda of Tallahassee, Mike Garner of Perry, Jeff Garner and his wife Stacey of Tampa; a sister, Vicki; and extended family including eight nieces and nephews, and two great nieces.<\/p>\n
A brief service will be held at First United Methodist Church today, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 5 p.m. with Pastor James Taylor officiating.
\nThe service will be followed by a memorial celebration in the fellowship hall.<\/p>\n
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church for the Madison Youth Ranch.<\/p>\n
