His favorite hobby was to go deep sea fishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terry was a Baptist and attended Southside Baptist Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He graduated from Taylor County High School, then he went to Gardner Webb University with a full football scholarship. Terry graduated from there and went to the University of Florida in Gainesville to earn a bachelor&#8217;s degree. He was a very successful CPA and was very high achieving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He lived in Wilmington, N.C., most of his life and moved to Homestead, N.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He lived there until his retirement and moved back to Perry 11 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He worked at Lowrimore Warwick Law Company. Terry was a CPA Partner with the company, then with Crocker Marine for more than 30 years where he retired as a CPA. He felt like family at Crocker Marine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is predeceased by: his parents, Willie James Wilder and Edith L Raulerson; his brothers, James Wilder, Mike Wilder and Mitchell Wilder; his nephew, David Heartsfield; and his grandparents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Wilder is survived by his sisters, Teresa (Joe) Heartsfield and Kathy Wilder; and a host of nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Terry Gene Wilder, 71, of Perry died Aug. 28, 2023, in Perry.
