(Bob) Wood"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Robert M. (Bob) Wood, 83, of Perry passed away on<br>Feb. 23, 2024. He was born on July 22, 1940. Bob was known for his kind and generous nature,<br>always proud of his family. He never met a stranger and had a reputation for being giving and funny. Bob is survived by: his loving wife, Carol Wood; his sister, Beverly Rossignol; his nephew, Larry Rossignol; his<br>son-in-law, Joe Chaplin (Marty); his daughter, Beth Stefanelli; his son, Bobby Joe Wood (Megan); his granddaughter, Katie Crews (David); greatgrandchildren, Tripp, Grady Lee and Casen; his grandson, Chase Stefanelli (Savannah); greatgrandchildren, Asher and Anna Kay; his grandson, Ryan Wood (Julie Ann); and great-grandchildren, Baker and Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wood and Katie Mae Wilcox. Bob attended Andrew Jackson High School and later pursued higher education at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. He dedicated more than 40 years of his life to<br>teaching in Taylor County Schools. In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a member of the Camp Misery Hunting Club. He worshipped at St. James Episcopal Church. A ceremony to honor and celebrate Bob\u2019s life will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, located at 1100 West Green Street in Perry on Thursday, Feb. 29, at 11 a.m.<br>In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. James Episcopal Church in his memory.
