Select housing funds available

Taylor County is working with several state and federal programs to help local low-income residents rehabilitate their homes.

The county recently learned it will once again receive $350,000 this year from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP), although local officials will not be soliciting new applicants for rehabilitation or demolition and reconstruction projects because there are still 24 people
on the waiting list from last year when the county previously advertised the program.
