For the second year in a row, the total real property value in Taylor County is projected to increase. This follows five straight years of declines during which the county lost $259 million in assessed real property value.
According to preliminary certified values for 2015 released by Property Appraiser Bruce Ratliff, Taylor County’s total taxable value (which includes real property and tangible personal property) is expected to jump 4.99 percent or $63.1 million this year.
