County facing $150,000 jump in Medicaid bills annually?

A year after Taylor County officials successfully proved to the state that the county did not owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in back Medicaid bills, a new Senate bill under consideration in Tallahassee could cost local taxpayers another $100,000 to $150,000 per year moving forward.

On Tuesday, the Senate Health Policy Committee unanimously passed previous SB 7561 as committee bill SB 1884 and referred it to the Senate Appropriates Committee.
