The Florida Legislature announced this week it will hold a second special session this summer after the Florida Supreme Court invalidated the state’s congressional district map which lawmakers passed in 2012.
The session, which is scheduled to run Aug. 10-21 in Tallahassee, follows the legislature’s first special session held in June in order to pass a state budget after lawmakers were unable to reach a consensus this past spring.
