Local veterinarians are issuing an alert for local horse owners to be aware that there has been a confirmed case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) in the this area.
Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus (WNV) are both arboviruses, meaning they are transmitted to horses and humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes.
