With the 2015-16 school year now less than two weeks away, parents and students are preparing for back-to-school shopping, but those who wish to take advantage of the state’s sales tax holiday for school supplies will have to wait a bit longer.
Approved by the Florida Legislature as part of the state budget passed during a special session in June, the sales tax holiday will begin Friday, Aug. 7, and end Sunday, Aug. 16.
