Honor a loved one in ‘They Were Here’ booklet

The Taylor County Historical Society is currently seeking entries for the 20th installment of its “They Were Here” series.

“This booklet is a small biography on those who were born, raised, lived or worked in Taylor County and passed on. The person does not have to have been born in Perry or Taylor County to be included in the booklet. If you have a loved one or family member you would like to submit, please follow the guidelines on the form on the Taylor County Historical Society Facebook page or stop by the Historical Society at 118 W. Main Street. We also need a good photograph of the person being submitted. The photo will be returned,” Co-President J.T. Davis said.

The Historical Society building is open every Thursday from 1-5 p.m. The group kicks off its 2015-16 year with a meeting Monday, Sept. 21.
